Booking Conditions

KAT reserves the right of absolute discretion to cancel or alter our itineraries as deemed necessary due to road and weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns.

Our tours require pro-active participation in a remote and rugged region with a small degree of personal risk. Travel Insurance is recommended to cover any unforseen circumstances such as loss or damage of personal equipment, evacuation and medical costs.

KAT accepts no liability for such events as:

  • Tour cancellations
  • Evacuation costs
  • Personal injury
  • Loss or damage to personal items

Deposits, Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

Prices quoted are in Australian dollars and are valid to December 31 of the year in which the tour is undertaken. Bookings may be made direct to our office or website, or through any travel agent. A 20% deposit within 7 days of booking will confirm that booking, with the balance payable 30 days prior to departure. If circumstances arise that make it necessary for you to cancel your booking, the following charges will be incurred:

  • Over 30 days prior: AU$50.00
  • 10 – 30 days prior: 60% of total
  • 4-9 days prior: 80% of total
  • 3 days prior or less: 100% of total tour cost

KAT will make no refunds to passengers who leave the tour for any reason whatsoever.
